The Perfection hard chrome snakes and carbide stripping guide are wrapped with Nymo Turf tan thread. Includes an original cloth bag and replacement aluminum tube. However, we have no hard evidence to verify the provenance of this rod. Includes an original cloth bag and Phillipson aluminum tube for the Master model.

This rod is similar to a Phillipson Haywood Zephyr and was built to be used with a W and M Fre Line reel. Included is a digital photo of Michael signing these books at the Colorado Bamboo Conclave August 2, 2010. Although, the weight on the hang tag says 3 3/4 oz., the actual weight on our scale is 4 3/4 oz.

Custom crafted from new old stock Wright and Mc Gill Water Seal tip and mid section. Half wells cork grip with added on aluminum thumb rest. 8' 8", 2/3 This rod has 3 original tips, each of which is for a different line weight. Perfection chrome casting guides, hammer grip cork grip. This reel was built between 19 when the telephone latch (registered design 734897) was changed again in 1949. Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook, 1994 1st edition signed by Michael. Size 12 and 18 nickel silver ferrules are indicative of a 9050 Granger which we believe this rod used to be. Black and orange jasper silk thread tipped with black. Condition is very good except for chip in cork and some knurling wear on the reel seat.7', 2/1 Water Seal model FA, impregnated cane, burgundy wraps with white trim.
