We can have a wonderful relationship with God minus the 'religious' that can blind any to the 'relationship' with God. 6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? I've felt like killing myself so many times before.7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. My son has severe autism and I have high functioning autism. People I know are just to immature and don't care and I keep it to myself.Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Warwick: We have relationships with everything and everyone we are in any way involved with. There is a relationship between me and my keyboard (i.e. But when people speak of "having a relationship with Christ" they mean something much more than that.I want a relationship with god,but feel like I don`t have enough faith. Having relationships is hard, and I often feel like I don`t even know what love is. Someone who loves you isn't sposed to make things more difficiuilt than they already are.It may seem selfish to you lot but this is how i feel and I can't help it.
We are only judged by what we do with the gifts God has given us - if we have mental limitations, God will know how much we can understand of Him, and only expect that much from us.
AND - someone who has not experienced a proper relationship due to autism may be much more likely to joyfully accept it when God offers it Its a good thing God meets us all the way we are,(then begins to work on "perfecting" us the rest of our lives) otherwise us "reigious" types would be doomed, probably by our own hypocrisy!
I also believe children automatically go to heaven and I cant prove it but also the little tribesman who hasn't heard the gospel (though he has a sense of God in some way),the millenium will prove who is willing and pleased to be saved. He never liked books..suddenly, he says "Biii--Buuu, Biii--Buuu"! He will shout "Hallelujah Lord, Hallelujah Lord" and waits for me to respond. He can recite "Hail Mary" entire prayer though I never taught him. You can Google "Neurofeedback" and come up with many websites to explain what it is. He was put here to teach us patience and compassion and he's truly a force to be reckoned with.
What I was saying is that nowhere did Jesus or Paul or anyone else in the Bible say "you cannot be saved unless you have a personal relationship with Christ" or anything of the sort.
Strong Axe,'relationship' is an accurate description of reality.
